revolutionizing access to space

watch Crestview Elementary students interview CEO Andy Lapsa
Hey there, future space adventurers! Some exciting space news was announced this week!

Imagine building the coolest rocket that can be used over and over again. Well, a company called Stoke Space is doing just that! They got a whole bunch of money, $100 million to be exact, to make their rocket dreams come true. With this new money, they now have a total of $175 million to make their rocket even better.

The people who gave Stoke Space this money are really smart investors. Some of them are from places like the University of Michigan and a bunch of other cool groups. Even people who already invested in Stoke Space before, like Breakthrough Energy and Toyota Ventures, are giving them more money because they believe in Stoke's rocket project.

Now, what's Stoke Space going to do with all this money? They're going to build different parts of their rocket, like the first stage and the second stage. They're also going to fix up a special place in Florida called Launch Complex 14.  Stoke got permission to use it from the U.S. Space Force!

?  What is Launch Complex 14 known for?  Click for the answer

Stoke is calling their rocket "Nova," a word that means when a new star is born from old star stuff.

The CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Stoke Space, Andy Lapsa, is really happy about all this. He said they're working to make the best rocket in the world that can fly to space and come back in just one day. That's super fast!

What did Andy say to Crestview Elementary students when they interviewed him?  See for yourself
🚀

So, Stoke Space is on an awesome space adventure, and they're making a rocket called Nova that's going to shine bright like a new star. How cool is that?
